International cultural festival “Kikumu”

Kikumu is an international cultural festival held in Jäneda, Northern Estonia, that combines cinema, art, and music. The heart of the festival and one of its main attractions is the Jäneda Learning Center, designed by Valve Pormeister in 1975, attached to the Jäneda manor house, a former sovkhoz technical school – one of the most important architectural works of its time, breathing and flowing in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

Kikumu is not just a music festival — it combines a wide range of artistic fields:

  • cinema (film program with cult and festival films)
  • art (exhibitions by Estonian and foreign artists of various generations, video art, and more)
  • music (live concerts, DJ performances in various styles)

Kikumu brings the best of different genres from around the world to the Estonian and international audience: hot names in contemporary art, the best of quality cinema, nature hikes, and discussions and meetings with world leaders on important and acute topics.

The festival also offers children's programs (KIKUMU Kids), discussions (KIKUMU Talks), a running club, and other activities!
